E.I.N. (Employer Identification Number)

The Taxpayer ID # which is the corporate equivalent of a Social Security Number (SSN) for an individual. This number is assigned by the IRS to corporations and LLCs when requested by filing a Form SS-4. The EIN is used to open bank accounts in the United States and is 9 digits long.
