Can an Apostilled Certified Copy be sent via e-mail?

By IncNow | Published October 20, 2015

“I’d like to know if I can order a Certified Copy with Apostille only via FedEx International for my Delaware LLC or can the Certified Copy with Apostille be sent via e-mail too? Thanks in advance for your response.”

Dear Customer,

Apostilled documents have a physically-applied gold seal. Most likely, you will need the original sent to you. We can email it followed by Global Priority Mail or send it to you by International FedEx.

An Apostilled Certified Copy from the Secretary of State is required by certain countries which accept the terms of the Hague Convention’s international treaty. For example, to do business in Spain, rather than have a Certified Copy of the Delaware LLC’s Certificate of Formation legalized by filing a Certified Copy with the US Department of State and Spain’s consulate, the treaty empowers Delaware to issue the document directly, which saves time and money and does not require separate approval from the US Government.
